History and Overview
Privately owned and operated since 2009, when we commenced as a Lipizzaner horse stud, our facilities and knowledge has continued to grow and improve over the years.
Now equipped with professional undercover training arena and training facilities, we offer the complete equestrian experience in horse riding , horsemanship, horse care and personal development so you develop competence and confidence utilising our method, the Centaur Connection Method ™.
Private tuition and clinics are available at our facilities in Far North Queensland, Australia. Online courses are also available to members, and we travel to horse studs and equestrian centres for private consultation, troubleshooting and clinics.
Our core values are Connection with Purpose, Leadership, Confidence, Progress, Innovation, Safety, Learning and Growth and a love of horses and nature.
Our unique method combines horsemanship skills with leadership methods from project management, behavioural science, psychology, physiology, Eastern & Western medicine principles in a unique mind-body-soul connection method to improve communication and connection to enhance motivation and engagement in people and animals for targeted results.
It is designed to maximise the potential of individuals (animals or people) with a united intention in a way to develop a cooperative relationship that maintains respect for individual needs and boundaries without undermining sense of self and self-esteem through oppression.
As Owner, Instructor, Trainer, Healer and Coach at Centaur Connection, Tracy Steinhardt has over 40 years experience working with, training and healing horses. Her horse training and teaching style is professional, intuitive, fun, educational and it brings out the best of horses and people
Over the years, Tracy has completed extensive study in horse training, behaviour, nutrition, reproduction and instruction including post-graduate study in animal science, human behavioural science and she is also a qualified Equine Oriental Medicine Therapist trained in acupuncture and shiatsu. Over the years, Tracy has also had extensive private tutoring by several professional horse trainers and riding instructors from around the world.
An established professional breeder, trainer and exporter of Lipizzaner horses since 2011, Tracy also identified many patterns of behaviour that don't fit the text book averages and as she was working on her own a lot, out of necessity she developed many of her own techniques to safely manage the live cover breeding processes on her own. She also developed ways to accurately read the breeding receptivity of mares, and she has trained all her Lipizzaners including foals, mares and stallions. In 2018 Tracy was appointed as a Director of the Australian Lipizzaner Registry Inc. which is focussed on the preservation, refinement and development of the Lipizzaner breed throughout Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia.
Tracy's method combines horsemanship skills with leadership, behavioural science, psychology, physiology and Eastern Medicine principles that achieves enhanced results to troubleshoot and identify issues, and enhance the potential of people and animals.
